From galleries to street art, creative food, drinks and people, Washington, DC is home to many diverse neighborhoods. Historic and trendy, I love the creative underbelly of DC. Interwoven together and blossoming all year round, eternal spring, breathing, circulating, growing, regenerating; the city is alive.
Washington, DC has been experiencing an urban renewal for the past two decades, thanks to billions of dollars in new investments in downtown areas, main streets, neighborhoods, and along the Potomac River. These developments together with new retail, restaurants, and entertainment options resulted in the re-emergence of several historic commercial neighborhoods and a growing population with an entrepreneurial spirit.
The Washington DC Economic Partnership hosts one of the best neighborhood guides I’ve found.
